EDUCATION
The WSSDAR support schools, award scholarships and recognize outstanding students throughout the state. Washington Daughters continue our legacy of assisting children in their educational needs, one of our Society’s first bylaws. The Cascade Chapter NSDAR sponsors visits from DAR schools, from both Kate Duncan Smith and Tamassee, with a speaker from the Hindman School presenting at our 2014 WSSDAR State Conference.

Other support areas from WSSDAR:
  • The DAR and Good Citizens program and Scholarship contest
  • American History Essay contest, Grades 5-8
  • Patriots of the American Revolution High School Essay Contest, Grades 9-12
